Parapet heating systems

Determining the technical structure and the exact component dimensions of our object-specific air conditioner or radiator claddings requires basically a technical coordination in advance with the responsible expert planner and the plant manufacturer, as well as a subsequent recording of measurements of the actual data on site. The experience has shown that otherwise problems can occur, especially when reorganising old buildings with large dimensional tolerances, caused by installation inaccuracies, or misunderstandings can occur regarding the arrangement of devices. On request of long-standing customers we have therefore developed cladding systems for the parapet area which already integrate the air-conditioning components for heating and/or cooling and/or ventilating. In this context our engineering department does not only assume the design and the dimensioning, but also the installation of the heating and/or cooling elements, basically however without connecting electricity and water.

This means in practice: minimum power loss of the unit during operation, optimum internal air flow to the parapet grille, compliance with all the requested free cross-sections, saving of space, time and costs in the field of installation as well as a significant simplification of the planning interface coordination, whereas all the functional characteristics and design advantages of our parapet claddings basically also remain valid.

Our parapet heating stands out for a very small construction depth of 70 mm (single layer) and/or 110 mm (double layer) and a high proportion of radiant heat (feel-good effect). The “Buderus standard radiators” which are firmly glued to the front panel, can be mounted to the supporting structure in different ways, depending on the system or the customer’s request, either foldable and with flexible pipes or as a fixed installation with a rigid connection. Test series effected by independent testing laboratories confirm that our systems show no considerable loss of performance compared to radiators without cladding. In case of very small parapet heights, the flat radiator can be replaced by a spiral finned tube.

For a combined heating and cooling operation we integrate for example a corresponding fan convector in the supporting system of the parapet cladding which is dimensioned in accordance with the technical reference values. In this context we either refer to an established “serial product” or we develop an air-condition ventilation system which is individually adjusted to the respective technical requirements. In any case you will receive a complete function unit consisting of device and device cladding which is consistent and adjusted to the requirements.
